<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the trouble to prepare programs by models to be introduced in an editing device so as to edit editing contents of a setting destination device. <P>SOLUTION: A multifunctional machine 1 includes a setting definition file storage unit 12 which stores a setting definition file containing setting definition information of the machine itself, and a file transmission unit 15 which reads the setting definition file out of the storage unit and provides it to a PC 2 to edit setting contents of the multifunctional machine, and the PC comprises a file request unit 25 which acquires the setting definition file from the multifunctional machine, a setting information generator 28 which generates the setting information on which editing results are reflected and which matches the multifunctional machine based upon the setting definition information acquired from the multifunctional machine, and a file transmission unit 31 which provides the setting content file including the setting information obtained here to the multifunctional machine.
