<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas alarm and a gas alarm method easily and accurately giving a gas alarm in accordance with an influence of carbon monoxide upon human bodies. <P>SOLUTION: For example, a relation between a CO concentration in an oxide concentration of 18% and a time required for reaching a carbon monoxide hemoglobin concentration of 10% in blood is stored in a ROM 12b beforehand. A CPU 12a subtracts a detection delay time of a gas sensor 10 from the required time in this relation to correct the required time and obtains the time integral of reciprocals of corrected required times corresponding to CO concentrations detected by the gas sensor 10 till the present time after the time when a CO concentration detected by the gas sensor 10 exceeds a prescribed concentration, in accordance with the relation. The CPU 12a generates an alarm informing that the carbon monoxide hemoglobin concentration in blood has reached a prescribed concentration, when determining it on the basis of the time integral of reciprocals of corrected required times. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
