PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve gear oil passage structure for an internal combustion engine enabling an oil supply passage of HLA or an oil supply passage for oil jet to be provided in addition to a control oil passage of VVT without making engine total length longer. SOLUTION: An oil passage 102c as a second oil passage is provided on a cam journal 12A provided with a timing retarding oil passage 12b and a timing advancing oil passage 12a as first oil passages for VVT. The timing retarding oil passage 12b and the timing advancing oil passage 12a formed on a surface of an intake camshaft 12 and the oil passage 102c for HLA are separated by a rocker cam bearing 202. Consequently, a control oil passage for VVT and a supply oil passage for HLA are enabled to be provided on one cam journal 12A. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
