PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purifier in which the work of fitting a filtration membrane element in a membrane filtration part vessel or the operation of pulling out the filtration membrane element can be facilitated and the space between original water and concentrated water can be sealed satisfactorily when purified water is produced by using the filtration membrane element-housed water purifier. SOLUTION: The water purifier is provided with: a pretreatment part (a pretreatment cartridge 30); a membrane filtration part (the filtration membrane element 60) for filtering the water treated in the pretreatment part by using any membrane of a microfiltration membrane, an ultrafiltration membrane, a nanofiltration membrane or a reverse osmosis membrane; and a water storage part (a tank 100) for storing the water membrane-filtered in the membrane filtration part. The membrane filtration part is composed of the filtration membrane element 60 obtained by fitting a filtration membrane spirally around a water collection pipe for collecting membrane-filtered water, the membrane filtration part vessel for housing the filtration membrane element 60, and a membrane filtration part cover. A ring-shaped sealing member for dividing original water from concentrated water is arranged on the outer periphery of the filtration membrane element 60 in a non-fixed state.
