A communication navigation apparatus ( 102 ) predicts a planned en route point that may deviate from a guidance route and previously connects a communication line for connection with a communication server ( 101 ). For example, when current waypoint information (P) is positioned on a link (L 2 ), the apparatus extracts a node (V 2 ) as en route point information and connects a communication line with the communication server ( 101 ). If the current waypoint information (P) is positioned on a link (L 3 ) after the apparatus passes the node (V 2 ), it means that the apparatus is not deviated from a guidance route corresponding to guidance route information (R), so that it cuts the connected communication line. On the other hand, if the current waypoint information (P) is positioned on a link (L 3 a) after the apparatus passes the node (V 2 ), it means that the apparatus has deviated from the guidance route corresponding to guidance route information (R), and the apparatus acquires new guidance route information (r) from the communication server ( 101 ).
