A backlight unit and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the same are provided to prepare an unevenness portion on the supporting/coupling portion of a main supporter and prepare a portion corresponding to a front cover, thereby implementing a slim-type backlight unit and an LCD module having the slim-type backlight unit by solving a limitation of a thickness of a high voltage unit. A backlight unit includes a power supply line(40a,40b), first and second path units(140a,140b), and a main supporter. The power supply line supplies power to a light source(30). The power supply line passes through the first and second path units. At least one unevenness portion(120) is formed in a region corresponding to the first and second path units. A rear cover(20) is integratedly formed in a lamp housing(25) guiding the light source. |
