<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing a combination-type optical film which comprises a plurality of optical films wherein end faces of the films have been butted against each other and which can prevent light leakage without sacrificing appearance. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the combination-type optical film comprising a plurality of optical films wherein at least one end face of one of the films has been butted against at least one end face of another film, has a step (1) of butting the end faces of the optical films against each other while providing a space therebetween, a step (2) of holding the whole of the optical films in their butting parts from at least one side by using a holding material, a step (3) of connecting one side of the space in the optical films in their butting parts to a vessel containing an organic solvent or an adhesive and filling the organic solvent or the adhesive into the space by taking advantage of a negative pressure state and a step (4) of removing the organic solvent or adhesive under reduced pressure to bond the butting end faces to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
