<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the manufacturing method of an electrooptical device, by which transparent electrodes having layer thicknesses different for each display color are easily formed, and also to provide the electrooptical device. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the electrooptical device includes: a partition forming step for forming a partition 41 partitioning pixel regions on a counter substrate 12; and a counter electrode forming step for forming counter electrodes 43 by applying a counter electrode forming material liquid 51 in respective regions partitioned by the partition 41.
