PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage system equipped with an emergency circuit which can effectively utilize an accumulator for use in the emergency circuit, and can be prevented from deterioration. SOLUTION: The power storage system is provided with a normal circuit 3, the emergency circuit 4, and the accumulator 7. Power from a power system is used for charging the accumulator 7, and for the normal circuit 3, the power of the charged accumulator 7 is used for the normal circuit 3 prior to the power from the power system and discharged, and in an emergency, the power of the accumulator 7 is used for the emergency circuit 4.
