<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user's bodily sensation quality estimating apparatus, method, and program capable of estimating a user's bodily sensation quality value with high accuracy by taking into account effects of a packet arriving late. <P>SOLUTION: An invalid packet discrimination section 12 discriminates packets unable to be normally received among media packets as invalid packets and classifies the invalid packets into each class depending on a production process of the invalid packets, a quality analysis section 13 discriminates invalid frames adversely effected by the invalid packets in each frame on the basis of a discrimination criterion in response to the class of the invalid packets, calculates a ratio of equivalent invalid frames selected by applying weighting to the invalid frames by a prescribed number of weighted frames as an equivalent invalid frame rate, and a user's bodily sensation quality estimating section 15 derives a user's bodily sensation quality value corresponding to the equivalent invalid frame rate calculated by the quality analysis section 13 on the basis of a quality estimating model 16 denoting a relationship between the equivalent invalid frame rate and the user's bodily sensation quality value, and outputs the derived user's bodily sensation quality value as an estimated value 17 of the user's bodily sensation quality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
