PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a conventional heating cooking apparatus of this kind wherein the amount of condensation of steam to a heating object greatly differs depending on the temperature of steam and the surface temperature of the heating object, and the heating object of low temperature such as the frozen heating object is moisturized by 10% or more in a very short time with steam of 100°C, which results in having difficulty in heating and cooking various heating objects at the optimal moisturizing amount, and the result is never satisfactory. SOLUTION: This heating cooking apparatus heats the heating object only with steam while the heating object is at a below-zero temperature and heats the heating object with steam and microwave from a point of time when the temperature of the heating object thawed and melted from the frozen state changes to an approximately above-zero temperature, by a control means 50, thus providing the rapid and efficient heating cooking apparatus heating and cooking by combining steam heating and microwave heating at an optimal rate according to the kind and state of the heating object.
