PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a metallic nanoparticle by which the granular nano-sized metallic fine particle is efficiently manufactured without growing reduced metal in a dendrite form and increasing the volume of the particle in the mass production of the particle. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the metallic particle, the metallic particle is manufactured by applying current between an anode comprising a metal to be manufactured and a cathode comprising platinum acicular electrodes respectively electrically insulated. The platinum acicular electrode is insulated from each other and comprises a plurality of platinum projections to have the maximum length controlled to≤1μm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
