PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin aqueous dispersion that maintains its viscosity even when left after mixed with a hydrophilic organic solvent such as an alcohol and stably retains its emulsion state even when subjected to high shear by a roll coater or the like. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin aqueous dispersion comprises a thermoplastic resin [1] excluding the thermoplastic resin corresponding to component [2] below, an anionic thermoplastic resin [2] and a cationic polymer dispersant [3] comprised of a copolymer that is obtained by copolymerizing a monomer, which comprises a predetermined amino group-bearingα,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid alkyl ester (A) and anα,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid ester (B) and is obtained by mixing the component (A) and the component (B) in a molar ratio of the component (A)/component (B) of (10-80)/(90-20), and has a neutralization degree of 50-85 mol%.
