The generator has a voltage regulator (18) regulating an amplitude of an alternating voltage that is generated in a stator (8). A voltage regulator heat sink (19) is arranged on an opposite side of the regulator of a centrifugal blower (7). A connector (20) is arranged at an outer peripheral side of the regulator. A set of air inlets is provided at a side of a housing (1), and a set of ribs (19b) is aligned peripherally at a side of the sink. A cooling air flow inlet guide section (32) is arranged at a section of the connector and lies opposite to the sink.
