An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) using a light guide plate of an edge lighting-type backlight unit is provided to obtain uniform brightness distribution in a light emitting surface by light incident to the light guide plate with various angles and reduce a bright spot and a dark portion, thereby reducing the fault of the LCD and improving image quality. An LCD includes an LCD panel, a light emitting lamp(121), and a light guide plate(124). The light emitting lamp supplies light to the LCD panel. The light guide plate is positioned to be opposite to the light emitting lamp and guides the light from the light emitting lamp to the LCD panel. The light guide plate includes a light guide plate body, a light incident surface, and a reflecting body(152). The light incident surface has a prism pattern(150) formed in a side of the light guide plate body. The reflecting body is attached on the prism pattern to reflect the light from the light emitting lamp. |
