A controller for an ATS(Automatic Train Stopper) balise and a controlling method thereof are provided to prevent an electric locomotive from entering an area where a trolley wire is not installed by operating the ATS balise. A controller for an ATS balise includes a condenser, and on/off relay switches. The condenser changes a capacity according to a circuit constructed by a predetermined relay switch. The on/off relay switch receives velocity information of a signal device(10) from a signal device control terminal box(11). Other on/off relay switch receives direction information of a point(20) from a point control terminal box(21). The controller for the ATS balise constitutes an ATS balise circuit for an electric locomotive together with an ATS balise signal generating unit for the electric locomotive. |
