PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make satisfactory conductive connection for a piezoelectric device and for a piezoelectric type electro-acoustic transducer. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric device comprises a piezoelectric layer 121, and at least one set of electrodes 141, 172 formed on both principal surfaces of the piezoelectric layer 121 with sandwiching the piezoelectric layer and being opposed to each other, which is provided with a protrusion 120A extending outward in the outer peripheral direction of the piezoelectric device 100, while being provided with a pair consisting of a terminal 141A connected to the electrode 141 and a terminal 171A connected to the electrode 172 via a terminal 172A, and a through hole conductor 190 on one principal surface of the protrusion 120A. Consequently, a direct outward lead can be made through the terminals 141A and 171A on the surface of the protrusion 120A of the piezoelectric device 100, and conductive connection due to the bonding state between the piezoelectric device and a diaphragm, at assembling of the piezoelectric type electro-acoustic transducer will no longer be influenced.
