PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing apparatus with a function of performing prescribed processing on recorded data according to its priority by simple operation. SOLUTION: The recording and reproducing apparatus includes steps of: storing two or more data and two or more priority information made to correspond to the two or more data respectively in a storage means; and reproducing the data by a reproducing means. In the step for reproducing the data by the reproducing means, the data are selected based on an input to an operation part, the priority information corresponding to the selected data is changed, and the two or more data are reproduced based on the changed priority information.
