PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly decrease the rotational speed of an engine in a power unit having a flywheel to be connected to or disconnected from an output shaft of the engine. SOLUTION: When decreasing the rotational speed of the engine 12 down to a target rotational speed, the rotational speed of the additional flywheel 42 is acquired. If the rotational speed is equal to or smaller than the target rotational speed of the engine, a clutch 44 is engaged. As a result, rotational energy of the engine is absorbed by the additional flywheel 42 so that the rotational speed of the engine is decreased quickly. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
