PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal shaft type sliding bearing device capable of preventing the occurrence of oil vapor and oil droplets in a bearing box and preventing oil leakage without increasing the outline. SOLUTION: The horizontal shaft type sliding bearing device comprises the bearing box connected to a forcible oil supply device, and a bearing to be lubricated by lubricating oil supplied from the forcible oil supply device. A guide pipe is used for connection between an oil drain hole of the bearing and a residing oil site. According to Claim 1, the horizontal shaft type sliding bearing device is easily assembled to prevent the occurrence of oil vapor and oil droplets in the bearing box and prevent oil leakage without increasing the outline.
