PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote removal of deposit accumulated near a nozzle hole of a fuel injection valve, while suppressing deterioration of driveability as far as possible. SOLUTION: It is estimated whether the deposit is accumulated on the nozzle hole 70d of the fuel injection valve 70 of an on-vehicle internal combustion engine, and a fuel cut control is invalidated based on the estimation result of the accumulation of the deposit on the nozzle hole 70d so as to forcibly perform fuel injection by the fuel injection valve 70. The forced fuel injection removes the deposit accumulated on the nozzle hole 70d of the fuel injection valve 70. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
