The method involves determining a null position of a wheel (3) of a motor vehicle with respect to a rotational direction of the wheel, and transferring the determined position to an evaluation unit (6). The wheel is rotated around a complete revolution by a rotating device with a rotational speed, and two electromagnetic signals are sent by a transmitter (4) during the revolution of the wheel. Intensity of the signals is measured by a receiver (5). An angle position of the transmitter at the wheel is detected based on the null position of the wheel by using the measured signals. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method of detecting position of a wheel electronics in a wheel of a motor vehicle.
