PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assemble a speaker apparatus by simple processes, without using jigs, adhesives, etc., to position a plate and a magnet with high accuracy, to provide a small speaker apparatus having comparatively high strength, and so on. SOLUTION: The speaker apparatus 1 has an external magnet type magnetic circuit 10 with a magnet 14 and a plate 15 placed on a yoke 13, in this order, and a frame 16 for supporting a diaphragm 17. Along with forming the frame 16, having an inner circumference in approximately the same shape as that of the outer circumference of the plate 15 in a method for manufacturing the speaker, the frame 16 and the yoke 13 are integrally formed by insertion molding. Positioning of the plate 15 is performed by the outer circumference of the plate 15 and the inner circumference of the frame 16, by fitting the plate 15 into the frame 16 along with putting the unmagnetized ring-shaped magnet 14, and the plate 15 on the yoke 13, in this order.
