PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing technology for efficiently concealing information inside a document. SOLUTION: An area recognition section 100 creates text image data and image data from document image data created by a scanner section 14. A character recognition section 101 performs character recognition of the text image data, to create text data, and a concealing object information identifying section 102 identifies the object, specified being as an object of concealment from an image expressed by the image data and a text expressed by the text data and stores the object in a secrecy information table TB1. A text-retrieving section 103 retrieves a character string stored in the secrecy information table TB1 from the text expressed by the text data. An image-retrieving section 104 retrieves the object stored in the secrecy information table TB1 from the image expressed by the image data. An encryption section 105 encrypts the object retrieved.
