PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser system which is provided with a controller (48) for monitoring and controls various functions of a laser device (10). SOLUTION: A laser controller (48) may provide a wavelength tuning circuit for adjusting and fixing a wavelength of an external resonator. In order to execute various monitorings and control functions, the controller may be equipped with a circuit for monitoring a variety of parameters related to laser operation such as a signal denoting temperature and/or a signal from a photodetector such as a photodiode (15).
