ELECTRON GUN ASSEMBLY FOR CATHODE RAY TUBE AND CATHODE RAY TUBE

An electron gun for a cathode ray tube and a cathode ray tube are provided to lower a dynamic focusing voltage and to improve focusing characteristic of an electron beam at left and right peripheral regions of an image by using a second focusing electrode for forming a double crossover point on the electron beam. Cathodes(30) emit electrons. A control electrode(32) and a screen electrode(34) configure a triode together with the cathodes. A first focusing electrode(38) and an anode(40) are positioned next to the screen electrode and configure a free focusing lens and a main focusing lens. A second focusing electrode(361) is arranged on a region of the free focusing lens and forms a double crossover point on an electron beam in a vertical direction. The second focusing electrode separates the double crossover point from the cathodes as a deflection angle of the electron beam is increased in a vertical direction.
