<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the versatility related to the information acquisition using an AV apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A user specifies an object on the display screen by a position determining mechanism of a remote control device having a two-way communication function. A chair is defined as the specified object, and the URL of a home page of the maker is acquired if there is the metadata, the mail address registered in the remote control device is linked to the URL and is transmitted to the display device. The mail address and the URL are sent to a user information DB server via the network from the display device, the user information DB server sends the URL to a client (cellular phone, PC or the like) having the appropriate mail address by e-mail. If the user is further interested in the chair, or automatically, the user accesses a detailed information DB server by the URL presented.
