PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reverse gear noise preventing transmission for preventing the movement of an advancing stage shift fork head during reversing stage travel. SOLUTION: In a shift interlock plate 14, whose movement other than that in the arraying direction of shift fork heads 60a, 62a, 64a, 70a is restricted by inserting a sleeve into a guide groove, a cutout 14e is formed to permit synchronization in a reversing stage select condition with a first- and second-speed synchronizing device. A time interval 14f deviates and comes to a sub head 68 with reversing stage select operation to avoid a trouble in shifting operation for synchronization. Thus, reverse gear noises can be prevented. With no reversing stage select operation, the sub head 68 abuts on the shift interlock plate 14 to prevent the movement of the first- and second-speed shift fork head 64a during reversing stage travel.
