PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a power train that reduces shocks caused by changing gears. SOLUTION: An ECU executes a program including a step (S300) of changing gears, without retarding an ignition timing of an engine during changing the gears when the retard control of the ignition timing during a gear change is prohibited (prohibited in S110), and also in such a state that a hydraulic pressure supplied to frictional engagement elements released by the gear change is higher than in the case of retarding the ignition timing in an inertia phase.
