PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chisel having a structure capable of finely reducing noise radiated to surroundings. SOLUTION: A cylindrical chisel cover 320 having an inner surface partially joined with an outer surface of a chisel main body 410, and partially separating with a clearance is provided. Noise radiated from the outer surface of the chisel main body 410 can be dampened by an air layer of the clearance S with the inner surface of the chisel cover 320. Although vibrations are transmitted at a part where the chisel main body 410 and the chisel cover 320 are joined, the chisel main body 410 and the chisel cover 320 is only partially joined, so that transmission of vibrations generating noise is light.
