<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colored resin composition excellent in surface smoothness and flatness in each pixel and an ink-jet ink using the colored resin composition. <P>SOLUTION: The colored resin composition comprises a pigment, a pigment derivative, and a resinous vehicle. It is characterized in that the colored resin composition, when having a solid concentration of 20-40 wt.%, excluding 40 wt.%, has a viscosity (provided that the shear rate is limited to 100 (1/s); the same applies hereinafter) of 3-200 (mPa s) and a T.I. (which is the ratio of the viscosity, ηa, (mPa s) at shear rate of 10 (1/s) to the viscosity, ηb, (mPa s) at shear rate of 1,000 (1/s) (ηa/ηb); the same applies hereinafter) of 1-2.
