<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a code error rate during a convergence time that occurs when performing an electric dispersion compensation processing in an optical communication system which transmits optical signals between a control station device and a plurality of terminal devices. <P>SOLUTION: During the convergence time of electric dispersion compensation processing (S1) in the control station device, a forward error correcting code is used together for ensuring an improvement effect of a fixed level. After the lapse of the convergence time, a code error rate improvement effect of a fixed level is ensured only by electric dispersion compensation processing without using the forward error correcting code (S5). Therefore, the code error rate improvement effect of the fixed level can be ensured at all the time and a forward error correcting code appending time is suppressed to a minimum, thereby widely using effective bands of a transmission line. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
