<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of satisfactorily keeping the quality of a projected image. <P>SOLUTION: The projector is characterized in that: an entrance side polarization plate and an exit side polarization plate are disposed in a beam entrance side and an exit side of a liquid crystal panel, respectively; the entrance side polarization plate and the exit side polarization plate comprise a polarization element body 52 having a polarization film manufactured by stretching a polyvinyl alcohol film and TAC (triacetate cellulose) sheets adhered to both surfaces of the polarization film, and a light-transmitting substrate adhered to the polarization element body 52; and the polarization element body 52 is heat-treated under the heating conditions at a heating temperature of 110 to 120 for two or more hours of heating while deformation is regulated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
