<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor for driving a vessel holding plate in a labeling machine, coaxially coupled to the plate and enabling a direct access to an alignment means at the bottom of a bottle. <P>SOLUTION: The motor 1 used for the plate 14 in the labeling machine is provided with: a housing 2 having a connection 3 for connecting the motor 1 to a carousel 4 in the labeling machine; a motor shaft 7 turnably supported within the housing 2; and a coupling flange having a first end 12 connected to the motor shaft 7 and a second end 13 connected to the plate 14.
