<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt device for a vehicle capable of achieving a personal certification system securely certifying the identity of an occupant riding the vehicle, by using attaching characteristics of a seat belt. <P>SOLUTION: This seat belt device 10 for the vehicle has a belt reel 22 around which the belt 13 is wound, and is further provided with belt drawing-out amount detection means 25, 61, 62, 63 etc. for detecting belt drawing-out amount from the rotation of the belt reel 22 and with an occupant certification part 70 for certifying the occupant 11 based on time change characteristics of detection signals output by the belt drawing-out amount detection means 25, 61, 62, 63 etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
