PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web conveying device capable of preventing generation of any wrinkle by detecting any precursor of generating wrinkles in a web under conveyance. SOLUTION: A web conveying device 1 detects the line of a waveform generated on a web 10 from an image picked up by a camera 3 by an image analysis means in a controller 7, analyzes the advancing direction of the line with respect to a guide roller 2c, and drives the axis 20c of the guide roller 2c.
