An optical information recording medium has a recording layer, a semi-transmissive reflective layer, a heat-generating layer, a reflective layer, a deformation layer, and a protective layer formed sequentially on a first translucent substrate, and the reflective layer and deformation layer are deformed by heat by irradiating a laser beam to the heat generating layer. Diffused reflection of visible light at the deformed reflecting layer manifests an image. Thus, rendering can be performed by an optical information recording device without flipping over the optical information recording medium, and without interfering with the data recording region.
