OUTDOOR UNIT FOR SPLIT TYPE AIR-CONDITIONER

An outdoor unit for a split type air conditioner is provided to increase ventilation amount and ventilation efficiency by installing fans having a large ventilation amount even when outdoor air is sucked into or discharged to a limited space. Upper and lower cases(12,22) are installed outside, having a suction part and a discharge part defined at its open front. A compressor is installed inside the suction part of the case for compressing refrigerant. A condenser(14) is installed inside the suction part of the cases for condensing refrigerant through heat exchange between the compressed refrigerant and outdoor air. A pair of fan housings(24,24') have suction ports at the condenser side and have discharge ports at the discharge part side of the cases, wherein the discharge ports are formed in the cases to contact with the discharge part to guide a discharge direction of air exchanging heat with the condenser. A pair of sirocco fans(26,26') are installed in the fan housings for taking in outdoor air from the suction part of the cases and discharging the outdoor air through the discharge part of the cases after passing through the condenser. A pair of motors are connected with the sirocco fans to drive the sirocco fans respectively. A pair of motor supports fasten the motors at the fan housings respectively.
