FIELD: production of aluminum by electrolysis, namely apparatuses for feeding raw material into aluminum cell. ^ SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes hopper for batched material; batching chamber provided with pneumatic cylinder having rod. Lower shut-off member is secured to end of rod and it is made in the form of lower cone-shaped valve to which lower cylindrical brush is secured. Upper shut-off member includes two portions, namely splitter and unit of upper cylindrical brushes. Upper cylindrical brushes provide rod centering and they shut-off batching chamber in order to prevent batched material penetration into it at closed charging windows. In upper part of batching chamber over hopper base charging windows are arranged along perimeter in such a way that at upper position of rod upper shut-off member is arranged over charging windows. Distance between base of lower cone valve till lower cut of batching chamber is no less than height of charging windows. In order to fix rod in upper position, cone lid is used. Said lid is secured to lower cone valve through universal joint with possibility of smooth self-alignment on lower cut of batching chamber. When charging windows are open loose material is not poured through outlet opening of batcher as said opening is closed and open by means of lower cone valve. ^ EFFECT: possibility for providing stable batch of fed raw material. ^ 2 dwg
