OXIDATION OR DECOMPOSITION METHOD OF TARGET SUBSTANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a method for oxidizing/decomposing an organic substance or the like by a photocatalyst makes heating of a photocatalyst particle difficult and a calorific value wasteful since an unrequired portion of an apparatus is heated by an electric heater and a gas burner to require a time for heating, and that waste of an energy therefore extremely becomes much when operation and stopping are repeated in a short time.

SOLUTION: By the method, the target substance to be oxidized or decomposed is brought into contact with the heated photocatalyst particle and the target substance is oxidized or decomposed by the activated photocatalyst and oxygen by heating. The heating is performed by induction heating.
