PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fragrant substance holder that is excellently handleable, ensures sustained release of fragrant substances and does not detract designability of the product. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the fragrant substance holder comprises first preparing a nucleus (C), an oligomer (A) and a fragrant substance (D) extracted from Japanese cypress and mixing the nucleus (C), the oligomer (A) and the fragrant substance (D), the oligomer (A) being an oligomer and/or a co-oligomer bearing fluoroalkyl groups on the both ends and a functional group bonding to the surface of the nucleus (C).
