PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usage of a storage space, without interfering with existing books or degrading appearance, by utilizing a marginal space between an upper and a lower shelf or in the front of a shelf as a storage space for small articles. SOLUTION: A cabinet has a bookrack-shaped shelf member 1 that has a bottom board 2 and both side boards 4 and that is inserted between the oppositely facing insides of the shelf furniture so as to be installed attachably and detachably. The outer side of both side boards 4, 4 of the shelf member 1 is formed with a supporting groove 6 communicatively having a horizontal groove 6a that opens on the rear end side of the side board and a vertical groove 6b that rises on the front side of the horizontal groove 6a. Inside the left and right supporting grooves 6, 6 are inserted with corresponding left and right dowels 7, 7 respectively there through, and then, with each peg 7 fitted and inserted in the upper end of the vertical groove 6b, the shelf member 1 is installed between the oppositely facing insides of the shelf furniture in a suspended manner.
