PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bending operation mechanism of an endoscope which permits the operational adjustment of bending holding mechanisms arranged in waterproofer-sealed spaces in two bending operation knobs superposed on a coaxial line position to be easily performed in a short time by a few working man-hours. SOLUTION: Two bending operation knobs 5UD and 5RL are detachably structured without interfering in any of the bending holding mechanisms 30 to 38 and 30' to 38' arranged in the spaces in the bending operation knobs 5UD and 5RL so as to ensure that the operational adjustment of the bending holding mechanisms 30 to 38 and 30' to 38' is performed simply by removing the two bending operation knobs 5UD and 5RL.
