A vertical type sublimation purifying apparatus is provided to reduce time required for separating and collecting organic matters from a collection unit and prevent organic matters, which are purified while separating the organic matters from the collection unit, from being contaminated to some degree, and a vertical type sublimation purifying method using the vertical type sublimation purifying apparatus is provided. A vertical type sublimation purifying apparatus includes: a sublimation unit comprising a body for housing a mixed material in which sublimable organic matters are mixed with impurities, and a heater for heating the mixed material; a collection unit connected to the sublimation unit in the gravitational direction, the collection unit comprising a collection body to which organic matters sublimated from the mixed material in the reverse gravitational direction are guided, and organic matter-collecting members which are separably disposed on an inner wall of the collection body, and to which the sublimated organic matters are adhered such that purified organic matters are formed on the organic matter-collecting members; and a temperature control unit for controlling temperatures of the sublimation unit and the collection unit respectively. The temperature control unit includes a first temperature control unit(32) comprising a first induction coil(32a), a first AC current source(32b), a first temperature controller(32c) and a first thermocouple(32d), and a second temperature control unit(34) comprising a second induction coil(34a), a second AC current source(34b), a second temperature controller(34c) and a second thermocouple(34d).
