<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for protecting an optical component from dust in the air while restraining degradation in image quality. <P>SOLUTION: Both ends of a transparent cover 24 which is a curved member, are attached to a lens flange 26 and a mirror flange 28.
