PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and highly frequently diagnose anomalies of steering sensors without having to depend on a yaw rate sensor. SOLUTION: An apparatus for determining the presence of anomalies of a steering sensor 21 includes a program for automatically setting a starting point of a determination period on the basis that the difference between the rotational speeds of right and left wheels of a vehicle exceeds a value when the vehicle moves straightforwardly; a program for automatically setting an end point of the determination period on the basis that the difference between the rotational speeds becomes equal to the value again when the vehicle moves straightforwardly after the setting of the starting point; and a program for determining the presence of anomalies in the steering sensor 21 in the case that changes in sensor output of the steering sensor 21 does not satisfy an equivalent during the determination period set by the programs.
