PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery unit which enables the issue of an alarm when a state of preservation of a user's battery unit gives a secondary battery a bad effect. SOLUTION: The battery unit includes a secondary battery 102; a state detecting means 111 which detects whether the secondary battery is in a state of preservation; temperature detecting means 108 and 111 which detect a temperature; and a time counting means 111 which, when the temperature is equal to or higher than a preset temperature, counts a time during which the temperature remains equal to or more than the preset temperature.
