PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an end plate from breaking or falling off by preventing the end plate from opening to the outside in the laminating direction. SOLUTION: The rotor 1 of a rotary electric machine is arranged to hold the opposite ends in the laminating direction of a laminated core 3 obtained by laminating electromagnetic steel plates in the direction of the axis of rotation by two end plates 5. Each of the two end plates 5 is thicker than the electromagnetic steel plate and the outside diameter of the end plate 5 is smaller than the outside diameter of the laminated core 3. The end plate 5 is a nonmagnetic body. A plurality of tees are formed in the end plate 5 by a plurality of slots extending in the radial direction toward the outer circumferential edge portion, and these tees are bent to increase rigidity for resisting against a force spreading to outside in the laminating direction of the laminated core 3.
