<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a blow-molded article excellent in design properties by a simple molding process without spoiling low gas permeability (gas barrier property) being characteristic of a liquid crystal polymer. <P>SOLUTION: The blow-molded article is manufactured by molding a cylindrical preform whose one end or both ends are opened from the liquid crystal polymer or its composition, and then, sealing one end on the cylindrical preform with both ends opened, elevating the temperature up to its softening melting temperature while the cylindrical preform is rotated, and blowing a compressed gas into the preform in a mold having an inner diameter of 1.1-5.0 times of the diameter of the cylindrical preform. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
