<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC tag attaching structure providing a sufficient transmission/reception capability even when a general-purpose IC tag is attached to a conductive article such as a metal product. <P>SOLUTION: The IC tag 11 is attached to an article, for example, a conductive metal product 14, via an insulator 15. The insulator 15 is preferably formed to have a thickness slightly larger than of that of L/(4ε) with respect to the relative permittivityεof the insulator and the wavelength L of an electromagnetic wave for radio communication.
